School Uniform

All children at Old Cleeve are expected to wear school uniform as it contributes to the child's feeling of belonging to the school.  Children should dress in the following uniform:

Navy knitted jumper with the school logo   Navy knitted jumper or cardigan with the school logo
Grey trousers      Grey skirt or pinafore or trousers
Navy polo shirt with the school logo    Navy polo shirt with the school logo 
Grey shorts (summer)  Blue and white checked dress (summer) 
Dark socks  

Grey tights or socks (white in summer) 

Sensible black shoes (no trainers or boots)   Sensible black shoes (no trainers or boots)  


In P.E. Children should wear wear a plain, round-necked t-shirt with the school logo in their house colour and black shorts.  Slip on plimsolls should be worn for P.E. in Reception Class, Mill Class and River Class.  Torre Class and Abbey Class to wear trainers - no plimsolls.  We do encourage tracksuits but these must be black or navy.  Old Cleeve sweatshirts can be purchased for PE in winter.


P.E. kit should be in school at all times in a named drawstring bag.  Jewellery should not be worn, although children with pierced ears may wear one stud in each ear.

We wish to promote each individual person and style, whilst at the same time avoiding unnecessary extremes.  These include brightly coloured dyes, braids (for safety reasons only), shaven or very closely cropped hair.
