Welcome to River Class. We are taught by Miss O'Keefe and supported by Mrs Taylor, Miss Stevens and Miss Trunks.
In River Class we enjoy learning about the world and community we live in. We take pride in our learning and are always curious to know more. We love to develop our teamwork skills and enjoy supporting each other in our learning. We like to take part in practical activities to develop our skills and knowledge.
Our School Day

RWI stands for Read Write Inc Phonics. This is taught in streamed groups across Key Stage 1 to provide children with targeted phonics support. Children are assessed regularly and, when ready, will exit the RWI programme and during this time have a writing lesson with Miss O'Keefe, focussing on further developing their phonics skills, as well as learning and applying a range of grammatical features to their writing. The rest of the lessons across the timetable are taught whole class.
Pupils must bring to school everyday:
On Tuesdays and Fridays River Class has PE. Kits should please include the following:

The activities link to the prior term's learning, providing an opportunity for children to consolidate their learning. It is recommended that children choose one activity from the homework grid to complete each week. Here is the Homework Grid for the first half of Summer Term:
