Old Cleeve School is in the process of becoming a Rights Respecting School.

We have achieved our recognition of commitment to the Rights Respecting School Award and we are working towards achieving our level one status soon.

Article 29 (Goals of education)

Children's education should develop each child's personality, talents and abilities to the fullest. It should encourage children to respect others, human rights and their own and others' cultures. It should also help them learn to live peacefully, protect the environment and respect other people.

What is Rights Respecting School all about?

A rights-respecting school is a community where children’s rights are learned, taught, practised, respected, protected and promoted. Young people and the school community learn about children’s rights by putting them into practice every day.

For more information about the Rights Respecting School Award, please see the leaflet below.

Classroom Charters

Each class has developed their own classroom charters as a guide for the children to follow alongside our behaviour policy.

The children developed the charters as a class. Every classroom displays their class charter, which is linked in with our work on children's rights.

Alternatively, please see the link below to view each current class charter.
